About
Jenna is a licensed clinical psychologist currently working with our active-duty military and their families, stepping up to run for Congress because Colorado’s 4th Congressional District deserves leadership that puts people over politics. A lifelong moderate Democrat from working-class roots, she’s tough on injustice and unwavering in her values. With a career built on listening, problem-solving, and public service, Jenna is uniquely qualified to represent the people of Colorado with integrity, fairness, honesty, and strength.

Jenna’s story begins in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, where she was raised alongside her two sisters by a single mother after her parents divorced. Her father, a Korean War veteran and engineer, and her mother, an artist, taught her the values of resilience, hard work, and standing up for what’s right. The shift from middle class to relying on her church, grandparents and community support after her parents’ divorce shaped her lifelong passion for economic fairness and family values.
Married for 19 years to her college sweetheart Steve, a retired Air Force officer, Jenna is raising and educating their son in Douglas County with the same strong values she grew up with. A practicing Catholic, she’s a regular face in her local church and an engaged member of her community.

Though she grew up on the East Coast, Colorado has always been close to Jenna’s heart. As a child, she spent summers visiting family in Rifle, Colorado—fishing, horseback riding, and rafting down the Colorado River. That connection inspired her and Steve to dream of settling in Colorado someday. After his military retirement and Jenna’s completion of her doctoral training, they made that dream a reality—eventually settling in Parker after road-tripping through five national parks. For Jenna, Colorado isn’t just where she lives—it’s where she belongs.

Jenna knows the power of a good education. She attended Catholic schools through college, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Fine Arts from Seton Hall University—graduating magna cum laude thanks to federal grants, student loans, and part-time jobs. She then moved to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC and earned a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University [GWU].
Military life brought her back to the DC area, where she used her husband’s Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits to pursue a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She completed her degree while raising a young son and teaching as an adjunct professor at GWU and through Steve’s final military deployment. Education changed her life and she believes every child in District 4 deserves the same opportunity.

Jenna’s work ethic started young—with early morning paper routes, cleaning offices, and waitressing. In college, she worked as a resident assistant and spent summers counseling inner-city kids at Camp Hope. After earning her degrees, she worked in psychiatric hospitals, with underserved youth, and later opened a private practice in England, serving American military families while living abroad during Steve’s Air Force assignment at RAF Mildenhall.
From community mental health centers to law enforcement therapy sessions to jail-based group work, Jenna has served some of the country’s most vulnerable. Currently, she’s a highly respected clinical psychologist on a Space Force Base in Aurora, where she’s delivered over 10,000 behavioral health sessions for active-duty service members from all six branches, treating symptoms such as trauma, depression, addiction, stress, chronic pain, and anxiety. She is consistently the most sought-after and utilized mental health provider on-base.

Whether on Capitol Hill advocating for mental health policy or volunteering with military survivors through the Tragedy Assistance Program (TAPS), Jenna has spent her career amplifying the voices of those who are too often ignored. She’s a former Governmental Affairs Chair for the American Art Therapy Association and has lobbied for behavioral health and education resources at the federal level.
Her doctoral research focused on military spouses, a group she deeply understands. She believes a strong nation and community starts with good mental health, which is in jeopardy due to harmful policies supported by our current representative. Once elected, she plans to introduce initiatives that support military families and expand behavioral health access across Colorado’s 4th District.

Jenna is the neighbor you’ve jogged past on the trail, seen skiing with her family, sitting courtside cheering on our kids, or met at the local rec center. She’s an avid hiker working her way through the Colorado Trail, a former marathon runner, and an artist who’s hand-painted her holiday cards for three decades. She has a mother who worked hard her whole life and relies on Medicare and Social Security. She is a twin and has an older sister who owns a small baking business.
She’s not a career politician—she’s a woman who’s lived real life and understands the challenges working families face. After years of watching dysfunction, corruption, and government overreach, Jenna is stepping forward to protect what matters: personal freedoms, women’s rights, access to healthcare, affordable living, and a fairer future for all.
She believes our current representative isn’t equipped or interested in serving the district. Jenna is ready to fight for real change—because she always has.
